You recycled your Christmas Tree and raised money for charity

So that’s it, all over for another year! Between us we have collected and chipped over 350 trees in four days! and all in the name of charity; supporting Kemp Hospice.

It’s been a productive and exhausting few days for us. We started at the crack of dawn on Thursday and finished at dusk last night, stopping for the odd tea break, but no biscuits, plenty of those were had over Christmas!

We just wanted to say THANK YOU.

So what happens to the trees?

Every tree that was collected for the Kemp appeal gets chipped (as shown by the lovely Jason below) and those wood chippings are then sold to raise more money. So it’s a double whammy of fundraising.

ABOUT KEMP- who the fundraising is for

Based in the heart of the Wyre Forest, KEMP Hospice offer care and support to patients, families and carers who are dealing with life-limiting illnesses and bereavement. Every year more and more local people need our care and support and we need your help to ensure we can be there, when it matters the most.

It costs KEMP around £1.4 million a year to run with 80% of this coming from you, our supporters and the local community. Your continued support means so much to us all here at KEMP… you are helping make a real difference to local lives in our community – ensuring that we can continue to care and support those families and carers that need our free-of-charge help right here in the Wyre Forest.
